Aiming to collect all uniques, question for Quest Items

Post » Thu Dec 12, 2013 8:09 am

As the title says, I've started a new game, with the intent to collect every possible unique weapon, armor, potion, misc. item and so forth. I've got a list being made already, but a lot of the items I want are quest items, that I have to retrieve and give to someone else, or I have to follow a certain set of criteria in order to be able to remove their quest markers. So, what I want to know is this-

What all items can I retrieve after the quests that mark them as undroppable are done. So far I know the Argonian Ale and the Stros Mkai Rum. I plan to make this character a pickpocket to increase the chances of pickpocketing. I've looked on the UESP and the elderscrolls wiki for confirmation on what all items I can remove from my inventory that are at one point marked as quests, but I'm not good at searching apparently cause I can't find diddly.

And for anyone wondering, I plan to decorate the hell out of Hjerim. I got plenty of time to waste. /nolife

Edit: I suppose a better question would be, what all quest items can be retrieved and dropped after their quests are complete. I'd really like to have the dragonstone and the silver cast.

thank you for sharing with me the exact list I was looking at and not answering my question. See, this list doesn't say anything about which ones can be reacquired or dropped once they're no longer needed. That's why I made this thread. So I could ask people if they knew any that could be dropped, instead of having to spend hours experimenting myself.

Hey, your lucky you got half an answer.......

Why not just duplicate what you find with the console? Then you don't have to worry about what needs to be turned in because you will have two of them.

Or, you can use the console to add the item to your inventory after you turn it in, and then remove the quest flag so it can be dropped.

I think there is also a mod over at the Nexus that removes all the Quest Item flags, you could look at that mod and see what is in that list, but I doubt it's complete.

Yea, I could use the console if I played on the PC. Why does everyone on here assume that everyone plays on the PC.

And that svcks on the dragon stone and silver cast. I've seen videos of people with the firebrand wine case and both versions of Azuras star, but that was PC so they most likely hacked those in for themselves. With me on 360, I can't quite do that unless I use a save editor (Never again).

So yea. Guess I get to experiment.

Because your the one talking about dropping quest items, and most of the Quest items can not be dropped until the Quest Flag is cleared in the console command line.

I had no idea anyone would attempt to do this with Quest Items on a console platform.

Which makes me wonder if you can even do the Dup Exploit with a Quest item in this game on the console platforms. That you will have to experiment with.

One thing you can get is the Rusted Mace. I think it involves storing it in a chest or placing it on a rack and proceed the quest as normal.
