What's the problem?

Okay, in the DLC 'Old World Blues' I have to fast travel to a lot of places and I am very easy to kill. But, for some reason when I fast travel the game decides to close and show me the message;

"FalloutNV has stopped responding" or something like that. (Check the link to see the message) and I was wondering if there is some kind of fix for this that someone could tell me of.

Well one, do you NEED to fast travel? Try walking there instead if it's a consistent problem and that may fix it.

Two, download the http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35262/? If you're computer illiterate (and I'm by no means a computer expert here), basically the jist of it is New Vegas runs on an engine with much older machines in mind (more specifically, low-spec machines from ~2008) and as a failsafe to prevent the game from causing any serious problems for your computer, the game is capped on only occupying a certain portion of your computer's resources; this can cause crashes to desktop when the game requires more space than it's allowed to utilize. Since I'm sure your computer is far above the minimum system specs however, that means there's a lot of space and resources the game simply won't attempt to use even though your computer is capable. Downloading that mod simply allows the game to utilize more space and thus drastically reduces crashes to desktop and increases overall performance

Try NVAC, it eliminates most crashes...
