Achievements vs. Roleplayers Question

Post » Sat Dec 14, 2013 7:29 pm

With the game being released over two years ago, there has been ample time to complete each of the 75 achievements, including those implemented with DLC.

My question here is directed to any and all RP'ers: have any of you not completed various achievements because they go against your current player? I'm aware that several of them are level specific and require a high-level/end game requirements (Ebony Warrior), but I guess my question here is that is there anyone still has not completed any of the achievements, for whatever reason?

There are quite a few that I have not completed, for to me they are just not worth my time or do not interest my character.

I don't have all the achievements because I don't give a hoot about achievements.

I haven't completed a few, simply because I don't care about achievements

Yes, I haven't nor will I ever get the OB walker "Achievement" because As an Altmer, My character refuses to do that nasty cannibal quest.

My other characters had different loyalties.

Thank you. I've been stalking the forums for various information and during times of boredom since a few months after release, it was about time I made an account.

Anyway, I think it's interesting that no one seems to care about achievements. In Single Player games like this, achievements are what keep me going after the initial 'wow factor' has worn off. That being said, the 'wow factor' I've received from Skyrim has yet to be exhausted. Hopefully never will.

On a side note, achievements sometimes provide useful information. For example, I never knew about Legendary Dragons, as I've never had a character reach past 65.

You can obtain the achievement without doing 'Taste of Death', or whatever that quest is called, by exploited the glitch to receive both the Ring of Hircine and Savior's Hide. Very easy to do.

Funny thing is..I've never fought or found a Legendary dragon.

I've had one character get to lvl 90 and still nothing....

Oh and welcome to the forums!.

Yeah, that is a good summation for me as well. Yet to get things like the Oblivion Walker.

I've got a number of them that I haven't completed yet. I probably never will get the Oblivion Walker achievement, because some of the things I would have to do are too distasteful or repugnant to most of the characters I play.

I pay no attention whatsoever to those annoying pop-ups. One of these days I am going to figure out how to turn them off.
