Is SmithingEnchanting to very high levels Cheating?

I've recently got my Dunmer character to level 252 with all perks, 950 Magicka, 1230 Health and 630 Stamina.

Usually the way I play is to grind my character up to 100 in every area before I play the game properly and do quests etc, I then usually use the method of :-

1. Creating a fortify enchanting potion and drinking it

2. Enchant apparel with fortify alchemy enchantments

3. Repeat the above 2 steps until I am able to create the best possible fortify enchanting and smithing potions (37% and 147%)

4. Drink the fortify enchantment potion/s and enchant apparel with fortify smithing and fortify alchemy with each piece then giving the maximum bonus of 29%

5. I then wear the final apparel I've created drink a smithing potion and improve the gear and weapons that I will actually wear and use in the game to their max via this method

My question is does anyone else still do this and would you consider it cheating? My justification has always been that it is within the game's mechanics and isn't really an exploit as armor and damage is capped. I also felt that as I've grinded my character for so long I should have the right to make use of these abilities. Does anyone use the base weapons at all and not smith/enchant any more? It would be a bit risky for me as my favourite outfit is this:-

- Mage's Hood

- Fur Armor (Shirtless version)

- Leather Bracers

- Leather Boots

- Elven Sword

I don't think it is cheating but I would not find all that grinding fun. I just play the game. I have never gotten a character over about level 50.

Honestly, if you've reached Level 252 by skill grinding and using Legendary to reset skills, what difference does it make?

I'm asking in general though, not just my current character

It is character building.

It's not cheating, just very, very pointless. Not to mention boring IMO.

It's only cheating if you feel cheated. Do you?
