Sunhallowed Arrow effect?

Post » Mon Dec 16, 2013 2:48 pm

The sunhallowed arrow explosion effect is badass, but the cost to get the arrows plus the fact that they cannot be picked up is a bit annoying.

I plan on making a new type of arrow with the creation kit that has that same light explosion effect. I intend to simply duplicate an existing arrow form (because followers would have an infinite supply and they could be picked up) and change the damage output and whatnot, but I need to know how to add the effect to them on every shot.

As I am a beginning modder, I know almost nothing of papyrus scripting if I would have to use it. I understand that this may be a challenging thing to do, so help would be much appreciated.

Thanks again,

You do not have do any scripting here. Wouldn't you only need to duplicate the arrows, listed under "Ammo"?

Right, should have been clearer.

I meant to duplicate something like a deadric arrow, making a new form and calling it something else, and adding the sunhallowed effect to it.

If you look in Ammo you should be able to find the arrow your after like deadric, rename the form and a little down you will find the field "Projectile". What you need to do is open up the Sunhallowed arrow and check what projectile it uses, then set your projectile to the same.

Well, now I'm embarrassed, as I can't seem to find the sunhallowed arrows when I open up Dawnguard in the creation kit. As I keep looking, anyone know where they are?

Nevermind.
