Crime Level?

Post » Mon Dec 16, 2013 2:03 pm

Today i had the great idea of coming in Dragonreach and killing someone, i have killed more then 20 Whiterun guards,a lot of battleborn and graymane soldiers, ladies, priestes, and whatever moved in to the city, i had around 20k bounty *.* then they killed me because i ran out of potions..but if they wouldnt kill me, i would have something permanent like life sentence or 1million of gold to pay?o,o

No, they would have sent you to jail for like a week or something then you'd be free.

I've done so much crime in skyrim....

Try leaving the hold, going back, then running into a guard.

Na that's Daggerfall, where you go in front of a judge and get to plea your case, then depending on your streetwise, or etiquette, you can lie or debate your charges. Or just downright get banned from a city. Which will lower your rep, low enough rep with the law and you'll get arrested from Criminal Conspiracy.

But I'm rambling.

You just get send to prison if you can't pay, thankfully, making the process faster, go to prison, then sleep on the bed.

If the guards don't stop attacking you, do what Blaze said, lead the hold, then come back. Or "Yield" which is blocking and talking to them at the same time, usually always works.

To my experience, going to jail does not affect anything, maybe it lowers some skills randomly, but I might be confusing it for Oblivion.

I walked out of the gates of Whiterun Sir. Said hello to the guard who asked "is that ferrr growing outya ears"

Started on my way down the road to the stables where my pony is.

Whistling as I go. Beautiful morning.

Decided to mix it up a little and transformed into my beast form.

Bang. 1000 bounty.

No taxation without representation is what I say Sir.

Bash a random guard's face in, and then sheathe your weapon(s).

If your bounty is high enough to buy Whiterun Hold, it's probably best to run away whilst praying to the Nine Divines.

Fast travelling away(if not killed by an arrow) and then travel back. If the guard still wants your skin/fur/scales, it's best to do option one again. Bash them in the face and sheathe your weapon(s)

Edit: Or just leave Whiterun Hold...After a while, they will send a Bounty Collector towards you to give you another chance of paying your debts.

If you cannot pay it, you'd have to fight.

I guess your Whiterun is considerably emptier now... You ARE aware that named NPCs don't respawn, right?

Yes it's not the best idea to go on a killing spree like that. You end up with problems later in the game when there is nobody to sell things to or train with.

LoL i solved out how to stop being attacked on sight by anyone..just wait 24-48 hours with T button then enter in the city from the gate and not with Fast Travelling, then a guard will arrest you and that's all! è.é xD

Skyrim is a land of unjust justice, murdering and stealing so much only to spend a few weeks in prison, when poor Lokir gets killed for attempted robbery of a horse.

I was always of the assumption you were a character attempting to cross the border from the other side... Hmm..

At any rate, appearently Imperial law doesn't have the "innocent until proven guilty" part in it's the law.
