I have a feeling they are on pc and not console in which case there are numerous ways for that to happen.

I know the issue's been solved, but it also could've been the console being too hot(easily happening when playing from disc)
And as you did, going to the "homepage" or turning it off often fixes this.
I remember getting this weird blue screen while getting that helmet for the Jarl of Winterhold.
I just have issues with characters I play marrying males. Doesn't matter if I play a male or female. Took me forever to play a female Warden in DA:O to marry Alistair and become his queen (just had to see that story line). It was straight marriage, but I just didn't like my PC marrying a male. I personally prefer females and that kind of rubs off on my characters regardless of their six.
Sometimes I miss the obvious, my mistake . . .
Maybe you should have her move in with Neloth . . . or maybe not, that might not be a good idea.
No idea how you did that. Kudos. Last time I tried to go there at a below 20 level the dang Ashe Hoppers tore me apart. Everything else just one-hit insta-killed me. I don't go near the place until I'm around level 30 now.
It's pretty easy at low levels, just lower the difficulty, least that's what I did with my Orc redoran guard, and now he lives with his husband, Halbarn Iron-Fur, at Raven's Rock. My guy was around level 3 when he went to Solstheim. Just have to pay attention to some details, and use the terrain to your advantage.
+1
It just works Sir. On so many saucy and non-saucy levels.
Maybe she found out you only married her for her storage containers ?
Nah, Neloth decided it was his home, the guy is a master troll and one that is actually humorous at that.
Possibly - maybe that giant mushroom he lives in is no longer big enough to contain his ego
I don't think Nirn is big enough to contain his ego.
The Thalmor sure have competetion for biggest ego ever.
I'm male and I always do gay marriages... Or none.
I must be in the "out crowd"!
~Edit~
Yes, I play as a Male and I am a Male in real life.
It's not rocket science, straight guys obviously would have no issue watching lisbian...uh..."movies", whereas male on male would make them uncomfortable
I don't watch gay porm, is that a problem?
Hey, I need someone to identify with and I have trouble identifying with a female, so heterosixual is the only way for me (I'm hetero so identifying with a gay guy is also hard), but this is perfectly understandable.
Heterosixual guys find women sixy, but not men. One woman is sixy, two women are sixier, two men - no sixy to be found. I don't think this needs to be blamed on cultural bias.
I nearly married Vilkas with my first character/dragonborn character (that's male). I'm blaming the short term fangirlism for the two brothers I had back when Skyrim first came out for what almost happened. Still I haven't actually married in game, probably because...it's just weird to me, even though I do mainly play this for rp purposes, and not the myself in game sort of thing. What's weird is that my main character (the one that shares my username) is supposed to be the son of that dragonborn character I had, and if he never married, then how did his son come to be (aside from the obvious since I'm intending that he married first for story purposes)? I could always technically make my own wife for him (and mother of my main), but... I don't even know what to make her look like if that's the case (although brown hair is a given since both have it). Then there's names too.
