Planting your own alchemy ingredients

Post » Wed Dec 18, 2013 4:32 pm

Picture this...

A merchant sells you a stone basin.. those rectangular garden stones.... you can plant X amount of ingredients in that basin... over time the ingredient grows... you can buy as many basins as you want and make as many ingredients as can fit in each basin...

is that something that can be done?

It really boosts the active alchemists arsenal to truly become a master of alchemy crafting.

Do you mean like in the official DLC, Hearthfire?

Hearthfire adds the possibility of garden/greenhouse where you can plant selected food and ingredients - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Greenhouse

It is the one DLC I do not have. Very good. Is there a possibility of utilizing the planting ability from HearthFire in a modded creation or does that conflict with legalities?? because what I had in mind specifically was being something of a recluse off in the wilderness with your nuuuumeeerroousss garden plots you decided to erect... allowing yourself a very psycho botanical role play.

i envision something like being the Joker from Bat Man and just making thousands of potions in a relatively short time, to go bring doom on the world, as a specific use of this modification..

Can the concept of planting your own garden be directed outside of Hearthfire?

I'd imagine any such mod would require Hearthfire as a base in any case.

Why not go grab Hearthfire on Steam? If you're playing an alchemist it's pretty essential, and is ridiculously cheap (£3.50 which works out I think at less than five dollars).
