Dragon Priest Daggers

Post » Wed Dec 18, 2013 11:42 pm

No one ever talks about dragon priest daggers! My ranger finally found a sibling for his (not counting the quest-oriented one), and now he dual wields them. They look pretty badass. They don't do much damage (dwarven level?) but they can be smithed (at least with the USKP).

They are rather unique in that you aren't likely to come across anyone else wielding them. I have added them to my Ranger character. He has evolved to where he mainly avoids combat other than to hunt, and all the rest of his fighting is done as a werewolf! However, for simple scuffles, these daggers are perfect.

I was planning to use those for my future priests, but eventually I found http://static2.nexusmods.com/110/mods/110/images/14834-1-1334168465.jpg much more attractive alternative. Now Cerwiden (my only priest at present) wields a highly modified and heavily enchanted version of that instead.

I didn't think Dragon Priest daggers can be improved.

Dragon priest daggers can not be improved.

Their only purpose is to extract dragon heartscales. They're not made for combat.

Whoah, would you mind telling me the name of that mod? I'm making a list of mods I'd get as soon as I get a better PC.

These daggers are perfect for sneaky assassins. Especially with this http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Assassin%27s_Blade#Perks.

For head on close-combat, though, not so much.

That is a beautiful looking dagger!

As far as where to get some,

Spoiler
I just went through the Forelhost dungeon. It is filled with dead Dragon Priests and I found 4-6 Dragon Priest Daggers in there

You may not be able to iprove them, but you sure can enchant them. There is a special dagger, called Kavohzein's Fang for getting the heartscales, and it is related to a quest given by the College.

They can with the USKP. I improved Kovenzin's (sp?) Fang to legendary. My current daggers are plain, as I want to dual wield them.

Yep, that's it. I thought as it looked so much like a fancy version of the priest's dagger, and the fact it's heavily dragon themed, that it would be perfect as a contemporary Dragon Priest Dagger for my Dragonians. I used the dagger with the dragon's skull and horns for most of my mages. And the dagger with the human skull pommel I've chosen to reserve for what I call my "Onyx Dragons", which are mages adept in a modicum of necromancy as well as conjuration. All are very powerful fighting daggers, especially after they've been both enhanced and enchanted.

No, the OP was talking about dragon priests daggers in general. There are several in the game, but somewhat hard to come by. The dagger for the college has nothing to do with the standard dragon priests daggers. Hope that made sense.
