Still so messed up, not me, the game!

I walked out of a shop in Whiterun and vampires attacked me.

Of course I created an atronarch. That's my gameplan.

We kill the vampires alright, but then every frigging guard in Skyrim attacks me.

Someone got blistered, it's ok, but really?

Related to this stupidity is another "incident". where Carlotta I think her name is.

The girl with too many guys wanting her in the market place of Whiterun.

She's stuck on the stairs for a fortnight now.

I tried to Fus her, but then the whole city wanted to kill me.

Really the Fus moved her out of her position. but all Whiterun is out for death or nothing.

And I'm the Thane.

Just leave the city for a few days after they get hostile. They'll settle down.

I wish my problems were limited to this. My issue is the game is constantly freezing again.

Doesn't help, and neither does creating a new save file.

It's just the nature of the game. It's broken. With the save file now being as large as it is, it's just a matter of getting pissed off and used to it again.

I do tend to notice the game mostly freezes when the topical animations are playing (snow, rain) or if there's too much going on in the cell. Nothing I can do about that.

Usually it's something with the machine, setup or graphics card deficiences.

It helps by starting playing after a PC reboot and close down everything you don't need -- web connection, firewall, antivirus, clean out cashe as said, and if PC, reboot and have a check done that all files are pointing where they should be (right click C: drive, click tools, click check system files, tick box automatically fix ------OK then it does a check on after rebooting and fixes problems----- and yours hopefully----- or it's something else. takes a minute.

If you are on PC, and without seeing your current setup, then the culprit is most likely the Graphics card.

Install FRAPS and run FPS checks when playing. Low FPS will happily freeze the game when the processing power of your card cannot cope or the hardware becomes overheated.

It is either:

(i) Not powerful enough (the snow, rain scenario is a bit of a giveaway). You can try lowering your config settings in the Steam prelaunch.

(ii) Check your driver set has no known issues. (This caught me out for over 4 months with Nvidia)

(iii) If you don't currently overclock, then explore this option for your specific card via Google.

(iv) If you have a relatively high-powered graphics card (e.g. Nvidia GTX 670 etc) and you overclock then check for overheating.

(v) If you have a relatively high-powered graphics card then check to see if you card is underpowered by your Power Support Unit (PSU). Between 500-750 Watts minimum for the high-end cards.

Just a few thoughts to get you moving again...

Did you try loading a previous save?

Sounds like a party.

Try loading a previous save or leaving town for a bit.

Carlotta was stuck in my game, too. I tried everything to get her to move. No dice. Then there was a fight in Whiterun (with The Traveler) and Carlotta got involved. She's been unstuck ever since. Try kiting a battle in her direction and see if you can get her to react to it.

As for getting the guards angry at you, it happens. Just sheathe your weapons and pay your bounty.
