I've noticed during my last few travels that the horse Shadowmere isn't with me anymore,is this a glitch,or did i just leave him somewhere and not realize it?

It should respawn in the dark puddle by the Falkreath Sanctuary entrance.

(I've had it fall off a cliff and die before without noticing and that's where I found it)
