are Daedric Artifacts Mass Produced?

Post » Mon Dec 23, 2013 7:18 am

I was thinking..

we only see one person with an Artifact at a time..

1 person Wielding Goldbrand
1 person with Spell Breaker
etc

but then I thought,

In Morrowind, the Daedric Crescent was a Daedric Artifact, correct?
but it was Mass Produced, as seen in Battlespire..

are other artifacts mass produced as is the Crescent?

The Daedric Crescent is now considered an artifact because it's the last one left. All of the others were destroyed, by way of plot devices.

I don't imagine they were all destroyed (don't think you can destroy Daedric things) but were rather cut off from Oblivion or the Daedric prince they were aligned with..either way the crescent doesn't look like a practical weapon.

Although Cider makes an interesting point - at the most basic level, what's the difference between a Daedra like a Dremora and a Daedric sword? Both are a manipulation of excess creatia by a Prince - when you "destroy" a Daedric weapon, aren't you really just returning its matter to the Waters of Oblivion?
