My previous game date so long I remember little about it. This game has been stretched likely over 5 years. I saved Dark Brotherhood for the end as I considered grasping http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Magical_Stones#Heaven_Stones thus needed 100 renown/reputation (overall, so good - bad). I like to do http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Hermaeus_Mora quest murdering, as opposed to defending my player/character ; thus saved getting http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oghma_Infinium toward the end of the vanilla game. I knew I'd install http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Shivering_Isles, which I recently did the 1st time, so my character would actually have things to look up to (roaming the land killing aggressive wildlife then speak of the same thing ; without new missions).
I though of saving the attribute & skill increases after they'd be maxed out to have extra effect. Maybe it's in my head, but running seem quicker when my athletics is over 100 ; so I thought the same would be applied to other character aspects. I was relishing roaming cities as the gray fox and obliterating any soldier barking at me ; getting multiple enemies at the same time with area spell was my goal... Well I'm kind of let down as I reread Oghma Infinium UESP page and noticed
I was going to bring up the subject entirely but noticed it was already done in http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1473167-if-damage-calc-caps-at-100-on-stats-and-skills/?view=findpost&p=22999260&hl=%2Battributes although not in my perspective. The following are my questions:
- Is it true damage (ie: spells based on fire damage) or protection (ie: reflect, absorb & shield spells) is limited once an attribute or skill reach 100?
- Is there a way to have the limitation removed to reflect the underlying source (attribute or skill) ? If my reference to the expansion installation wasn't sufficient, the game is on a PC.
For #2, there's a hint there might be a mod that does so in:
Underlining (in quote) by me.
