On my Dwemer character, I started the quest "A Taste of Death". He hates everybody except for his own kind, which of course are extinct. Here are some spoilers.

When I went inside the Hall of the Dead, the cannibal asked me to join her, and I said hell no so she attacked me and I killed her, failing the quest. Now, every time I'm in Understone Keep, Verulus not only keeps talking to me, he also FOLLOWS me wherever I go. I practice my Destruction skills there and he always gets in the way. I can't find a way to kill him, so is there a way to just get rid of him permanently?

I was just helping out brother V today, and you're right he really is annoying. I told him I would help him, and he gave me a key to the temple so I went inside. He followed me in and repeatedly asked me to leave! I ignored him and confronted the cannibal and killed her. I haven't been back yet but if I do I sure hope he leaves me alone!
