This thread is about the Nord creation myth and how accurate it is. There's plenty of theories out there on how Nords came to be, but I'd prefer if we tried sticking to this one, since I don't get many replies to it.
My spin on it is that the Nords were "breathed onto the Throat of the World" in a sense, but not quite. I think that High Hrothgar is the earthbones of Kyne's body that degraded too much when she began giving herself to the creation of Nirn, and they stacked up on that spot, which is why it's so tall. The Ehlnofey are the pieces of her divinity that split and did not die and turn into earthbones, and these became the wandering Ehlnofey on the throat of the world that later became Atmorans and Nedes, then eventually those two became Nords.
I also am a believer that if Nords aren't the only ones who can shout, dragonborn and crazy Bosmer/Altmer/Ayleid mad wizards not withstanding, then it's at least easier for them to learn, possibly from belief in Kyne's breathing them and granting the thu'um, if not a physical thing of some kind from being of Kyne, which I'm sure most people will say it's not, judging from the threads I sifted through.
So what do you think? Not really a complicated theory, and it makes sense. The mountain has magical wind barriers, and lots of wild animals on it, which I have no idea how they get there, when there's only one way up, which is through the town. Gameplay thing? Some kind of oversight? Or are the wild beasts there, because of the mountain's tie to the Lady Kyne who has a thing for wild beasts? I also think this woman may be her avatar:

Wishful thinking maybe.
