I don't think so. I think it has more to do with their spheres of influence. Meridia is said to have dominion over life energies. Kyne was the one who breathed life into the Nords at the Throat of the World.
I think that is proof there is a connection. Kyne somehow had the ability to create life, which requires "life energies" that Meridia presides over.

There is a properly formatted, much easier to read version of http://www.imperial-library.info/content/michael-kirkbride-irc-qa-sessions.
I honestly think there is more likely to be a connection between Arkay and Meridia. Both really, really hate necromancy. That has to mean something.
This isn't about likelihood. Read the log again.
Also, thanks LN. Didn't know you had those up yet.
I don't know that that's true. I mean most people on this forum love TES, but we're in many cases no more strongly connected than that.
No problem. I never announced that they went up, but they've been there for a while.
Yeah that was very useful, since I can't spend a lot of time (or really hardly any) in the chat.
We're not gods. Gods represent entire spheres of influence and concepts. If the two overlap, is it really the same as mortals having a common interest?
That's very nice, who wrote it?
Puzzling out what MK said... Kyne and Meridia are connected- in the evening and morning sky? The talk of rain reminds me of her being a widow, though it's Mara who's the Tear Wife.
Let's try this:
What happens when Sunlight and Rain meet?
Hint: It's very pretty, and in the Aurbis, it's Magic.
But Light and Color are the same thing, aren't they?
Furthermore, I don't need rain to make a rainbow. I could just as easily use a crystal, get Jyggalag involved in all of this.
