So I finished the Civil War questline(beat the stormcloaks).

And after the short meeting Tullius had with Ulfric, I quickly realized I was on the wrong side. The only real reason I "sided" with the empire was because of the events from and after Oblivion, and how High Chancellor Ocato pretty much gave his life to try and save it. Otherwise, I've been pretty neutral and killing members of both side for fun.

While both are wrong in their methods, Tullius is a moron. (And I didn't know Rikke was a nord, you can guess when that become obvious). He's totally pro White-Gold ConCord-Who-Gives-A-[censored]. When time to kill Ulfric(I allowed him to UF Tullius all over the place), he was like "LOLZ USE MA SWORD DAT I SHARPNED ERR' NIGHT". But I didn't. I used my own. So while this poor man is dead, is he's talking more and more crap. And I'm like "You're making Tiber Septim totally roll around in his grave.. when this is over, I'm going to kill you all".

We get outside and I UNLEASH Storm Call in full force and killed every Imperial Officer, except Rikke and unfortunately Tullius. You should ever be so lucky that you were spared.

Um, You DO realize Tullius HATES the Thalmor, possibly even more than the Stormcloaks, right? Even Elseif worships Talos, just does not do it blatantly.

Also, Rikki is OBVIOUSLY a nord, she mentions Skyrim as her home several times and being "fellow nords" with the others many times.

Elisif doesn't worship Talos. She tells you that when you ask her about it.

she SAYS that, but why would she then say something along the lines of "i gave prayers to all of the divines except talos, which i regret" when she asks you to bring her husbands warhorn to the talos statue.

Man, it took me almost 2 years to finish this thing and 1 1/2 to finish the main quest. You can believe I had forgotten many things along the way.

I haven't even seen the other side of Solsthiem yet haha.

Regardless of whether Tulius hates the Thalmor, he is a royal knob.

true, he IS a bit of a jerk sometimes, but he DOES have a heart, just does not always shows it. He DOES give double compensation to everyone in the legion AND to all families who lost someone. Also During:

Spoiler
Season unending, he understands the threat the dragons mean, and even when you are seemingly supporting Ulfric, he points out it does not matter, the dragons are more important at this moment, he even tells Jarl elisif and legate rikke to be quiet when they start getting too worked up . Ulfric on the other hand is making demands left and right, and both him and Galmor seem ready to spring at them at any second. also, BOTH yell at Elenwen to shut up and to ever speak again if she is allowed to stay.

Wrong side?

The only side that would be the wrong side is the Thalmor.

Tullius has to literally fake being friends with the Thalmor and since he is a General he would know enough about decieving the enemy.

Also when he sends you on a mission you can plainly hear Rikke say Talos guide you or something to that effect but yes Tullius would rather worship Talos than let the Thalmor tell him what to do but his position as general also forces him to follow the terms of the cease-fire. I say cease-fire because it is obvious that both sides are trying to build up strength for the second great war and since human reproduce faster than mer . . .

The Empire might outnumber the Aldmeri Dominion by then too. That said both sides have a good point about their view of what is going on.

Even if the Dunmer in Windhelm had good housing in the gray-quarter I would still be reluctant to let the Argonians anywhere near the Dunmer.

Can you take a guess at why?

Sure I can, but we've already had a game that supported Morrowind.

This is conditional. If the PC joined the Stormcloaks, Tullius will be the pushy and demanding one, whereas Ulfric will be the calmer one.

Though, it doesn't help the Empire's image when they are required to bring along the Thalmor ambassador to the party. :hehe:

Torygg worshiped Talos. Elisif is a figurehead. Ulfric and Tullius are bad news, how bad largely depends on which sources you accept as reliable and how you interpret their actions.

I'm mystified by people who don't see the civil war questlines as exercises in choosing the lesser evil.
