Any similar Aedradaedra related divine beeing like a Nimph?

Post » Sat Dec 28, 2013 12:29 am

I am looking for a lore reference to anything that is closer to a Nimph or nature spirit anyway ... Anything like that in ES lore?

I believe there were Nymphs in daggerfall, so in the High Rock region.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Nymph#Nymph

There is also spriggans who could be seen as a nymph, they are aligned with Kynareth.

Spriggans are more like dryads.

Hmm true, but so far Nymphs are as close as you get I think, I'm sure there are more spirits of the earth but I'm not entirely sure.

edit: I'm not entirely sure the Nymphs are related to either.

My point is that I am constructing a character out of norse mythology tht is actually taken from ancient greek and roman mythology of nimphs , the name of the nordic version is skogsr? or huldra (forest), sj?r? (freshwater) or havsr? (saltwater), and bergsr? (mountains). But a generic name of a nimph can fit , was looking so around to find a es similar beeing and I am wondering what kind of powers might have and to what race of divinities be more related ... Aedra ? Daedra? Something else?

Hmm reading the scholar's guide to Nymphs if you really want to align them with a god I would say Dibella or Sanguine since they apparently love to have six a lot.

I'd most likely go with Dibella.

I'd say they are more of their own form of et'ada, I don't think there are any lesser forms of aedra left in Mundus. As for Kyne I'm not entirely sure.

Lesser Aedra? No, I don't think so. Extension of an Aedroth? Possibly.

The kind of nimph I am making is a guardian of the nature in all forms , and also a powerfull magician , think of a kind of Calypso or Circe.
Immortal and neutral.
