Issue in Halfway Tavern

Post » Sat Dec 28, 2013 4:33 am

Hi guys,

I've run into (what appears to be) a bug in the Halfway Tavern. I went to sleep in the inn's bed, but was awoken "by a loud noise". It puts me in combat, however, there is no one in the inn attempting to attack me. I've only just begun the game, and this was my first real stop (other than a cave) on the way from Seyda Neen. I'm using the MGSO 3.0, but no other mods. Has anyone else run into this? Or is my best bet to just restart, since I'm so close to the beginning?

It's not a bug, someone is really willing to kill you. Look into the other bedrooms; he might be stuck behind a door or else.

Somewhere in the building where you're sleeping, there's a hostile NPC after you. It's part of the Tribunal questline, but can be a bit awkward if it happens while you're sleeping someplace unusual, and the attacker gets stuck. If you really can't find the attacker, just leave, and in a couple of days the attacker will reset and go away (until the next attack).

Well, I loaded a previous save, right before I slept, and everything went okay - seems to be working fine. I'll keep that in mind the next time though - thank you guys!
