I just found this area in the game and I think that it's weird and funny how it's in the game

Bethesda Game Studios used to be based in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethesda,_Maryland, which is a suburb of sorts to Washington DC, so it makes sense.

I don't think it is weird that it is in the game. Fallout 3 is in the Washington, DC area and Bethesda Ruins is the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethesda,_Maryland. Bethesda Softworks was originally from there IIRC but now they are in Rockville, MD.

There are many real-world locations, or locations inspired by them, in the Fallout games.

Bethesda is the name of the town where the original headquarters of Bethesda studios is located, and is pretty accurately located on the map in relation to the rest of the real-world places .
