I have an issue that whenever I stand near anything that casts a shadow my whole screen will darken and I get bright stripes in random places in the shadows.

What resolution you running your shadows at?

Outside too ?????

If yes, and you have your shadow details to high on skyrim -> Options -> Advance -> Detail -> Shadow detail: high

then change your Texture filtering - Quality to: Quality or even High Quality on nvidia card's.

On a Ati card:

Mipmap Detail Level -> Move the slider to the right.

Disable the A.I. feature.

Using any mods? such as lighting mods, enbs, etc.

Made any changes to the ini files to try yo get better shadows?
