Do you know any female elf follower or hireling in the vanilla game (only dawnguard added on)?
I would prefer any Altmer, Dunmer or Bosmer with a warrior or thief type build (non-mage). Thanks.
p.s. I sacrificed Jenassa to Boethiah

There s a bosmer (I think) member of the Dawnguard, cannot remember her name though. There is also the Priestess of Azura and Brelyna of the college of Winterhold, but they are mages.
Aranea Ienith, Dunmer. The priestess of Azura, she's a efficient mage and will be available if you do Azura's quest and choose Azura's Star instead of the Black Star (that is, ask her for help instead of Nelacar.)
Brelyna Maryon, Dunmer, student at the College of Winterhold. Join the College, do her little quest, and you have a decent mage by your side. Also available for marriage.
Beleval, member of the Dawnguard. Bosmer. Available if you join the Dawnguard. Not sure what her combat style is, somekind of archer or warrior I think. Not a mage at least.
Those three and Jenassa are the only ones, I think. And then there are a couple of male Dunmer and Bosmer followers as well, of course.
I don't think there are any, but I could be wrong.
I really wish they let you take on Karliah as a follower. In my opinion, she was the most interesting character/NPC behind Serana.
EDIT: Yeah, I forgot about Beleval. Almost took her along in my last playthrough.
Orcs are technically elves, but I guess you don't want one...
Beleval is the most fitting, she specializes in light armor, block and melee weapons.
Beleval is a Bosmer I believe, but she could easily be mistaken for an Altmer because she's pretty tall for a Bosmer. Anyway, she favors a crossbow at long range, but she's also good at one-handed as well and often switches from a crossbow to a sword for hand-to-hand combat. I believe she uses light armor.
Beleval it is then.
*EDIT: Orcs are excellent warriors, although i prefer them in heavy armor for melees. Bosmer are more sneaky and better in light armor with archery as a bonus for ranged combat.
It was the best role-playing choice for me.
I know I mentioned them as first choices (because they rock ) but now I saw that the OP did NOT want a mage. So I guess Beleval is the only one left.
faendal from riverwood, best follower in the game. Makes the game too easy sometimes though.
Yes. Aranea is a powerful mage but I don't usually take mages into battle because they have a tendency to throw ice spikes in my back when I'm fighting someone.
