Characters come alive - RP thread

I've lurked here for a while, I post in the quiz threads on occasion and like to see the new ideas for role-plays and just other weird things I'd have never even thought of even in the vanilla game, but I've not seen a thread like this, so I figured I make one.

In this thread, you are not you. You get your Oblivion character, your favourite, your least favourite, most loved, most despised, whatever. Get that character and talk to others who are doing the same! It sounds simple, but giving you the chance to give your character an unlimited voice (as opposed to the set speech of Oblivion) and also being able to talk to other real people instead of the less interesting Oblivion NPC's will no doubt be a breath of fresh air. Heck, it may even be fun :D

Just state which character you are and give an introduction if you are new to the thread (no need to explain yourselves, just let the RP do that for us) and... join in!

I'll start off with a setting. If ever a new setting is needed, try and come to an agreement civilly! I know you can all manage that.

For this kick-off thread, I figured I'd start with something relatively easy for everyone to get into. We are in the Imperial City. Let's start with a little meet-and-greet, but nothing too talky. Unless that's how your character is.

"My name's Ulburf. Just got here from Falkreath up in Skyrim looking for work after the winter killed me crop. I'm looking for somewhere to earn a coin or two with my blade to send back to my family in Skyrim. For now the Imperial City will do, but I hear there's a nice place West of here. Chor-rhal or something. Is it good over there? Not too many of them Elves skulking around...?

"But before I even think of going anywhere, I need to get this fitting on my chestplate replaced. Anyone good with armour?"
