A Mudcrab's Tale
‘Twas a beautiful Second Seed day,
on the sandy shores of Niben Bay.
The tale of this rock-backed fellow,
will make your hearts all mellow.
His claws and temper is known to all,
and his meat delicious, fried in imp gall.
Our fellow small, let’s call him Muddy,
was taking a stroll when he found his best buddy:
A green-tinted flower that sang so fairly,
oh it made ol’ Muddy so merry!
He visited his friend both dawn and dusk,
bringing it pearls and lichor husk.
But one beautiful Second Seed day,
on the sandy shores of Niben Bay,
came a tall armored demon running,
in a bi-line over the water, very cunning!
Plucked the flower both leaf and root,
throwing it carelessly into a sack to boot!
Muddy went mad and charged the foul fiend,
relentlessly slashing at the murderer’s shield.
Dusk changed to dawn as Muddy struck some more,
‘till his eyes filled with tears and his claws turned sore.
Then the foul demon did speak,
“Oh little creature, you are so meak!
You can do me no harm or wrong,
but thanks to you my shield arm is now strong!”
With a single strike from the demon’s mace,
our fellow ol’ Muddy took a fall from grace.
So when you’re feeling sick and sneezy,
remember, compared to a Mudcrab’s life yours is easy!
