Well, today has been an adventure for me. I was busy playing EVE when suddenly, I am disconnected. I do some researching and find out that a group named "DERP" has spent their past few days DDoSing the servers of EVE Online, League of Legends, DOTA 2, and many other games along with spamming twitch channels of famous streamers for those games. It is infuriating that someone finds it fun to take down websites, game servers, and twitch channels just for the fun.

What do you think of these guys? I think that they are just a group of teenagers that think it's funny to DDoS things because they can.

Tbh, I find this kind of thing amounts to no more than vandalism and damage of property, both of which are criminal acts punishable by law, these plebs should be dealt with in the same way as those who vandalize and damage physical property and buildings.

DDoS by itself is the Internet equivalent to graffiti painting. A mild annoyance, but causes no long-term harm, often easily mitigated, and can be a political statement at times (it isn't this time: like most graffiti, it's done by people with nothing better to do).
