Bloodmoon and Tribunal Textures

Post » Thu Jan 02, 2014 2:13 am

Hi everyone!

I need a list the landscape and building textures for Bloodmoon and Tribunal. I have the TES anthology so I have a steam and a vanilla disk install of Morrowind. I use MGSO on my vanilla install and I have moved a lot of high-res textures from the MGSO install to my steam install. Now I need to locate the expansion textures so I need a list of them (I don't want to haphazard move everything because I have all the textures the way I like them except for the expansions).

Thanks in advance everyone!

They are all part of the BSA's. You should just have to move those. Otherwise, your going to have to unpack the BSA's. But, if you have the expansions installed, you have the BSA's where you need them. If these are part of a mod, then install the mod to the game.

So, I am not sure what it that you are really asking for.

I already have hi-res textures unpacked on my harddrive from MGSO so I want to move those textures into my steam Morrowind install without having to redownload them all. But I don't want to move all the textures (there are several thousand) I just want to use the landscape textures from Bloodmoon and Tribunal, so I was wondering if anyone had a resource with the names of those particular textures.

For example, tx_BM_ice_01.dds, that was easy because it has BM in it (and ice was a pretty dead giveaway). But I'm not sure how to locate Tribunal textures and such...

If you used a mod manager to install the mods the first time, then you should have the archives or the mod manager files on your hard drive. That would be the easiest way. Otherwise, your going to miss something if you try to do this manually.

If your not using a mod manager to install texture mods, now you know why you should use one.

The thing is I am mashing texture packs so I don't want to blanket install with a manager. Everything has been perfect so far (I have had to grab a texture from my other install here and there when I notice it in game) I just need to find me those expansion textures. What about a BSA browser? Would that allow me to see what textures were included with the expansion?

Sure if you unpack them.

But, why make this harder on yourself? If your current install is working perfectly, then just move/copy the entire Data Files folder of the existing install to the new install and your done. In fact, you can copy the entire Morrowind install to the new install location if you want to.

One thing though, before you go any farther, do you current have Steam installed in Program Files, either one? If so, then don't install Morrowind there.
