Certain sounds are quiet

I do not know how or when this happened, but voice sounds and some others are very quiet - I can hear them by only just. I looked in the settings and they are all at max, and I looked in the Volume Controls of Windows and Skyrim is up max. Please I want this to be fixed, I can't hear a thing people are saying and I love this game!

Try that.

  1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
  2. In the Playback tab, right click on Speakers (or whatever has a green tick next to it), then click Properties
  3. In the advanced tab on this new window, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) in the drop down menu
  4. In the enhancements tab tick on "Disable all enhancements"
