Console Commands - Help with perks?

Post » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:08 am

I understand there's a command for giving yourself perks in a skill tree, (player.addperk ) but is there anyway I can give myself perk points to spend? The reason i'm asking is because whenever I try to unlock a perk with the console command, it shows that everything went correctly but it doesn't show that I have the perk. My best example with this is when I type player.addperk 7934a , it gives no extra text saying I entered anything wrong, but the perk doesn't show up when I check the skill tree. 7934a = Overdraw (Archery).

Thanks.

After adding the perk via CC, close the level-up menu and open it up again. It should appear.

Also, if you want to have Overdraw 5/5, you need to give yourself Overdraw 1-4 first.

Step by step what i'm doing: 1. I open the console, and type the addperk command. 2. I click TAB and go to "Skills". 3. I notice that the Overdraw star is still blue.

Anything i'm doing wrong?

I've already used the player.modav command to get my archery to 100, by the way.

Ah yes another thing, outside the archery perk tree it says my skill level is 100 in green, (Because of the modav command) but inside the perk tree it says Archery 20...

modav only increases it like a fortfy effect, it does not count nor work for perks. For perks, You also have to use the ACTUAL perk console name so it comes out like "player.addperk xxxxxx" where xxxxxxx is the name of the perk

use this page from the UESP, to help you :http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console
