I bought all the DLC on steam during the sale and decided to get back into it on a new playthrough... I literally got 5 minutes into the game before noticing this...

Is there any information aside from "1.9 is the end of skyrim" I have gathered that it is an engine issue and no amount of mods or scripting can fix this. If anyone could confirm anything I would be very grateful.

I support and will always support Bethesda in there endeavors but as a die hard Elder Scrolls fan please do not leave this masterpiece in it's current state.

However, the short answer is that currently there's no fix for it. Bethesda knows about the issue (it only affects some users), but we don't know whether it'll be patched or not. It may be possible to fix via SKSE plugin, but currently nobody's working on that either.
