Npcs that stand out

Post » Fri Jan 03, 2014 12:57 pm

Topic's in the title. Were there any Npcs in Skyrim that didn't belong to any major quest that caught your attention or intrigued you for some reason. Maybe their voice was unique, or they looked like a cool and interesting character. One character I thought stood out was Talsgar the wanderer.

Katria, she is like the only minor character with their own unique voice actor. Not to mention she seems to be the only ghost that is not ethereal judging by the fact that she reacts when you push her.

I've thought of another one I thought was very interesting. Fultheim. He stays at the Nightingale inn and has a blades sword. Also, the innkeeper says he's, "drinking away bad memories". This leads me to believe he's a Blade in hiding, but they never elaborate on that, which makes him even more mysterious.

Dragons weren't gone. They were just invisible, and very, very quiet xD

Taarie. The second I heard her speak, I wanted to put a Dark Brotherhood contract on her.

I thought the same thing and wondered what painful Blade related memories he's drinking away.

I'd have to say Kodlak even though he's tied into the Companions questline, I want to have a conversation with the man about what a True Nord truly means to him. He seems like an honorable old warrior which is someone I'd like to call friend.

I have to agree, Kodlak is a cool character. I like him for his conflicted nature. He's this hardened, honorable Nord warrior, that people look up to and respect, yet he himself hates a part of him, and would do anything to rid himself of it.

Speaking of Kodlak, I found Shor's Shield-Thane Tsun, the guy who guarded the whale bridge in Sovngarde, to be an intriguing npc as well. His armor is unique in the entire game, and I was scared to face him my first game. Turns out an 8-foot tall nordic god wielding a two-handed battle axe isn't so tough after all.

Erik the Slayer. I enjoy taking him under my wing, and he's one of the most upbeat people you can meet in the game.

And dat voice could calm an Orc in Berserker Rage
