Running slow: help speed up FPS?

Post » Sat Jan 04, 2014 7:00 am

Playing via Steam using ATI Redeon HD 3450 Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1. Graphics adapter, playing on the lowest quality and 800 x 600 Resolution and I'm getting horrible FPS. Is there any tricks or mods I can get to speed it up to a playable speed?

Yes, get a new GPU. Short of that, there really isn't much you can do.

A new graphics card might not be enough either depending on the PC specs.

Might want to see if any mods are out there that reduce texture qualities but then it might just be better to play an older game.

Honestly, you are lucky to even run the game with low FPS. Skyrim is a pretty demanding game and your GPU is not gonna cut it. Sorry, wish there was a way for you :(

As Erzherzoghans said, a new GPU depends on the rest of your system. What are your other specs? (CPU, RAM, etc.)

Do you have the default wdm drivers from windows or have installed the Catalyst drivers from Ati ????

Nevertheless your card is slow...(it has a 64 bit wide bus), what's your CPU ?????

Right-click on 'My Computer' and go to 'Properties'.
