I had a thought, that would go along with some of the old dark humor that Fallout was known for. The game starts with the Courier in a grave after being shot in the head. Now I have played Fallout 3, so yes in a game you can live through a headshot. But, what if he didn't actually, and the reason that the game ends when you "beat" the game. Is because you finally foundout you've been actually hallucinating after having gotten the head wound. You are now out of blood, and you die. hahaha. The whole game up unti then never actually happened!

without a doubt the most logical endings, years of cinema entertainment, and television for that matter, have proven that hallucinations are the best way to conclude deep and dramatice adventures. But more realistically it will probably be the dream the vault dweller has between being abducted by aliens and waking up on mother ship zeta.

but then you wouldn't get the cool guns and stuff from the DLC.but then after the courier wakes up he says,"that was a bad nightmare" and then he tries to get up and his butt is sore and realizes that he was probed by aliens!...Or it was his neighbor old man Jenkins sneaking into his room again...dun dun dunnnn

or your hallucination was a recap of what you did before you got shot then you die

But the game involves you finding out who shot you :[

I would probably wet myself if an NPC said, it was your evil twin and the response was, does he have a goatee.
