Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 will no longer allow anyone to login who held an account at gamesas prior to the website move to Crysis.com. Breakdown of the problem:
My login details are correct: I did not forget my password, nickname or account e-mail. I had these written down long before the problem and never had an issue logging in.
The second the website move occured, I could no longer login to Crysis 1 or Crysis 2 online features. This is because the game is still attempting to contact whatever is left of the old site (the URL links in-game still direct you to gamesas for support). My old login details work on this forum, but no longer in-game.
If you try to "Retrieve Password" in Crysis 1, the game freezes and will not respond.
Also, there is no ability to update an e-mail address here or in-game, so for anyone who is encountering this issue, to be able to play multiplayer you will have to go and create separate e-mail accounts and then re-register in-game. And for added aggravation, if you forget your password or need to change details (an old e-mail you don't use anymore for example), you can forget about playing multiplayer because A) Crysis 1 will freeze when you try to "Retrieve Password" and B) Crysis 2 will tell you to change details at gamesas. SO you will have to create yet another new e-mail, and the problem continues on in a downward spiral
EA, I am so entirely sick of this. Patch in support for Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 to work with Origin in the same way Crysis 3 has or update your game so it registers and logs into this site rather than the abandoned gamesas. This kind of neglect for a title that is advertised as including multiplayer borders on fraud when there is no support for it.
