Graphics help? How to make it run smooth on my rig ...

Post » Sun Jan 05, 2014 5:14 am

My rig is pretty damn decent and I can max out every game but Crysis 3 just looks terrible for me. What settings should I be using for my rig and how many FPS would be good?

3770k OC'ed to 4.2ghz
16GB RAM
Radoen 7970HD GHZ Edition

Thanks.

unless you have a massive or supremely good cpu cooler, reduce your cpu clock speed back to 3.5ghz.. The problem is this cpu gets too hot and causes massive input lag because your processor cant performs tasks fast enough. Second, watch my video below and you will see the difference in fps between lowest and highest.
My pc spec:
i7 3770k 3.5hgz
Intel 120gb SSD
Asus gtx660Ti
16gb kingston hyperX 1600mhz ram

Run your C3 settings the same as my lowest settings for best performance. If you run high settings, you will get vegetation appear that others dont see when on low settings, and you will die more easily. Also adjust your monitor settings to give you the nicest picture. Even on the lowest settings C3 still looks better than just about every other game.

Ascari, with those settings on maps like Penn Depot there is this fog which disappears when one specific setting in Advanced Graphics is set to Medium or High(can't remember).

Also, I get tons of jaggies if everything is set to low and confuses the hell out of me, always making me think it's a cloaked player.
