for a while now and now the cover is all bumpy and faded out even completely white in some spots my mouse is a modern gaming mouse with a lazer not 90's ball thinger

any way just wondering if anyone could explain the science as to why this happened .-.

You mouse is maybe a lazer mouse, but obviously your mouse pad is a simple one and it wears out over time.
