I'm trying to hire Teldryn Sero, but I'm not getting the option. Nothing. All I get is "You know..." and "So what are you good at". I'm not getting any other options. I've tried dismissing my other followers and still the same thing. Anyone know why I'm not getting the hire option and how to fix it?

Hire your other followers again and then tell them to [censored] off. Don't do it too quick though.

Maybe leave Solstheim and wait a little bit? That svcks though; Teldryn is my favorite follower.

Yes, I could see him being very handy in the future. I thought it might be UFO, but if so I'd at least have the option and get turned down for having too many followers, so it can't be that. And like I said, the option doesn't even appear when I dismiss my followers.

Sounds like a UFO problem to me. Have you checked that you have the latest UFO patch for Dragonborn? There's an official patch now. Maybe double-check your load order too.

Ahh, looks like I've found what's up. It took me a couple of months to install and prep everything before I could continue. In that time they did an update to the main UFO mod from i to j. I downloaded and installed UFO when it was still i, and version j deals with everything Dragonborn related.

Hope it works now.
