I was racing across the shores of the Sea of Ghosts from Dawnstar to Winterhold. I needed to get there in a hurry before I froze to death (Frostfall). Halfway between Saarthal and Winderhold, I encountered a group of Imperials and Stormcloaks battling. My character being a Paladin type, and an Imperial himself, decided to use Voice of the Emperor to stop everyone fighting. Played it off like he broke up the fight and saved up to six lives of his fellow man while he was on the verge of death himself.

It was an interesting roleplay opportunity. Normally, I let the flight play out, as most of the characters I've played have no real dog in the fight. Any other time that's been pro Imperial or Stormcloak jumped into the fray for his side. Never had the chance to think outside the box, but it felt right for this character.

Oh, and luckily he made it to the inn in Winterhold an warmed his hands by the fire.

That is a pretty neat story and quite the handsome Imperial avatar. I think Imperials tend to get overlooked but I always have liked the race. The Voice of the Emperor is a pretty useful perk, especially for the type of character who likes to settle things in a more diplomatic manner.
And the extra gold they find is nice, too!

What's this? Actual potential in Voice of the Emperor? Perhaps the words of an Imperial are truly powerful. I never bothered using the power with my Imperial as he was just an assassin and I honestly considered it rather useless. Good to see I was wrong about that.

Isn't the Voice of the Emperor effect only temporary? I imagine the fighting resumed moments after you left the scene.
