Hello,

I've been playing with Boone as a follower for a looong time now, but for a while I've noticed this issue where if I make him wait somewhere or return to Lucky 28 or Novac, he dismisses normally and walks away (or stands, if waiting), but then he reappears next to me anytime I go through a door or fast travel. When I talk to him he says "is it time?" and I can re-add him as a follower. This includes add-ons...he followed me all the way through Lonesome Road. I've tried dismissing him IN the Lucky 38 and picking up Cass instead, but Boone still teleports to my location after any loading screen, regardless of other companions. I CAN'T get rid of the guy, and he seems to be the only follower with this quirk.

I normally wouldn't mind... he's my preferred partner anyway, and I guess it's nice to have a pack mule through DLC content, but I'm about to do Honest Hearts and I kinda wanted a more authentic solo experience. He's also wearing power armor, and anytime there's a post-loading screen cutscene (like the cinematic at the end of lonesome road) he's automatically teleported in front of me and I get glitchy armor bits blocking my view. That IS annoying, and I don't want that to be the case for honest hearts, too.

Does anyone have a similar experience, or know why he might be so attached to me (I AM pretty cool, but this is excessive) and how I can make him stay put until he's needed? I don't have any mods installed, and I haven't tried any sort of console commands yet. Suggestions are welcome! ...Except killing him. I'll just put up with it if it comes to that.
