Charging Magic Items

Post » Tue Jan 07, 2014 10:48 pm

So here I am again, the Novice BattleMage (L4), I've received some magic staffs from those whom I encountered in the Quest and I acquired the Staff of Jyrik by defeating him in Saarthal. I noticed that the power levels of the staffs are zero (0). I have another basic question, How does one recharge the magic items? I plan to use the Staff of Jyrik on my next quest when I go to Fellglow Keep to battle with the mages, undead, and The Caller there to get the quest books. Thanks for your help! :-)

Filled soul gems. Use your filled petty soul gems to start with, for they are really not good for anything else. Then when you have no more of them, go to your lesser ones, then the common ones. Save your grand soul gems. Put them away someplace, and the black ones also. Put them away. I also put away the greater soul gems.

All you have to do is highlight the staff / weapon, and there is a RB button showing at the bottom of the screen, if you are on xbox. Just press it, and choose your lowest soul gem. You may have to do it 3 or 4 times until the rb goes away.

Hope that helps

Do I charge the staff inside or outside the inventory? By the way, I'm playing PC. Thanks!

I believe you can charge the staff either both ways. I am not sure but I always did mine in the inventory.
