In character unnecessary addictions

Do you like to come up with unusual addictions and vices when you're RP-ing in Skyrim?

I do. I played a Breton female who had a bad habit of punching in the face every single guard that made a sweetroll'esque "funny" about her. And boy, were there many. She's paid alot of prison for this habit because otherwise she's not a villain character at all.

Another addiction I thought was funny was my Orc's. Bubbakhar his name. Well, this individual has had a trauma in his childhood he had this honey addiction and was once almost killed by a colony of bees. Now that he's a grown up respectable Orc, he's not only eating all the honeycombs, but also catches and eats all the bees in sight. One by one, with love. He could chase one from Riften to Solitude if necessary.

Now I have this Argonian named Dark Seed who's addicted to beautiful women. Human only, that is. This dandy thinks Argonian females are ugly. He only hires beautiful companions like Annekke, Aela, Jordis and although he could do just fine without their help, he won't stop his world tour of showing off his trophy companions until he made sure every single man in the province knows.

Not one that would doom my existence as an honest citizen in such a pretty setting.

Haha I like your characters, op.

I'm not a hardcoe rp-er, so my chars usually have only the addictions that are necessary for my playstyle: kleptomaniacs, liars, gold hunters...

But I wish the vanilla game had more built in vices like paid prosttutes, gambling. I'd totally rp a wife cheating gambling addict.

Marie's getting addicted to Skooma, she'll collect them wherever she can find them and store them away in a secret compartment in the basemant. Don't tell her family.

Hoarding, my characters can't help but grab ingredients, even if they never touch an alchemy table.

Heh, I like the orc's story. Eating bees! Those are some neat ideas to enhance roleplay.

Not really an addiction, but I had a character that was kinda psycho, and would kill men (only men, not women) whenever she had the slightest reason, or thought she could get away with it. It was hard to supress the urge in town sometimes, but she wasn't fond of getting arrested. So she would stalk men on the roads or in their houses and murder them with delight.

Ooooo yeaaah, the seductress psycho. I've had one of these in Morrowind, a Breton. Seduce men, use them and kill them. Some kind of Dexter avant la lettre. I might try this again in Skyrim, a lethal sixy assassin with daggers and crisp DB armor. I suppose it's more challenge in Skyrim with Npc awareness to crime, in Morrowind it was easy peasy killing innocents and getting away with it.

Mostly drinking and eating. it would have been cool to have smoking and, like someone already suggested, prostitution and gambling. I think gambling, darts, bar fights could make good money sinks when you got too much and nothing of value to buy.

No addictions, but my most recent character is a (admittedly lore-breaking) lesser daedra who isn't quite right in the head (a side-effect of being inadvertently released from whatever artifact she was imprisoned in). She hoards things, and to give you an idea of what she considers valuable, she has one display case full of gems, one of unenchanted jewelry, and one full of assorted mushrooms.

She also has a full library, but only one bookshelf has anything in it - and it's strictly reserved for her many copies of "The Book of the Daedra."

Daeo has a habit of collecting trophies off of his DB kills.

Generally pieces of jewelry he enchants to put their name on it, to remind him of said person. Though an article of clothing works too.
