the problem is people dont really understand what clone means. everytime someone comes to the forum and starting ranting about this game being a wow clone they are putting false information out there. this game is nothing like wow and only people blinded by hatred will fail to see that

It's no where near a clone, the direction of the game is going well, they've reached a great middle ground for tes and mmo players.

It is just verbal shorthand for a quest driven MMO, the fact that you attribute this to "blind hatred" really says more about you than about anyone who uses the term. Why exactly do you take is so personally when the topic is something as trivial and meaningless as a video game? You are the one with the problem, not someone who says "wow clone". If you are have this kind of emotional reaction to words about a video game, you need to unplug and get a life.

its not verbal shorthand, it may be for you but you would be the exception. the problem comes in with spreading misinformation on a forum that people come to seeking actual information.

From what I understand you can be doing a quest and then randomly decide to go explore some random cave instead, and you get rewarded for exploring. Not sure if you will be able to get equal rewards as you would from raids, but you do get rewards for just walking around even if you don't do quests.

Also who cares if WoW players come and then leave? I don't know why everyone seems to think if a game isn't a WoW killer then it failed. As long as the game keeps enough players and gets enough new content to keep me interested, and they don't create a pay to win cash shop, I don't care if any WoW players give up WoW for ESO.

Nope, sorry, this is devoted fan/drama queen talk. No one is coming here just to spread misinformation by saying "wow clone", they are not out to get you, and neither you nor ESO is the target of a conspiracy. Time for you to get back to reality. People are lazy, they use abbreviations and shorthand when they communicate.

Sorry but I have to agree with others.

"WoW clone" is definitely not the same thing as "quest driven MMO".

And when someone sais TESO is a WoW clone they are wrong.
