This isn't meant to be a political discussion, nor a conspiracy conversation about Kennedy's assassination, this is just me stating a case why I think Kennedy deserves the spot on the 20 over Jackson.
For a president to be on American currency they have to be 1 dead, 2 fairly non-controversial in their presidential, or otherwise political/societal success & 3 fairly loved among the people. Currently we have President Andrew Jackson on 20 dollar bill, but he only meets 2 of the criteria for being on currency, Being loved & being dead; Jackson was a total bad @$$, but he wasn't a good president or politician at all. Look at his track record & he single handedly depressed the economy TWICE in his presidency, he's the only president to (directly) kill a man while in office. He was hotheaded & was the cause of 3 duels while he was in office (which he was in) which put his life & the security of the nation at risk for what was essentially pride.
I believe Kennedy is a far better contender for what we want seen on our currency. The front of the currency he would be the standard serious looking likeness of the president face & maybe an eagle or flag or something, standard faire; but what I would like to see on the back of the currency would be the first Apollo Program's landing pod's likeness or an astronaut with a flag behind him's likeness. I feel this is a less controversial leader (ignoring the conspiracy) than Jackson & Kennedy would be much more relateible to modern people than Jackson. Thoughts on this anyone? (NO POLITICAL ARGUMENTS, JUST HOW YOU FEEL)
