I did the first of the Ancient Technology quests (where you get the Enhanced Crossbow schematic), but when I went to return the quest to Sorine, it wouldn't allow me to pick up another one. As far as I've read online, there are six in total and they should be repeatable. Is there something I'm missing or is it a bug? If it's a glitch, is there a workaround?

No I don't. I've only been playing on the standard Vanilla Skyrim + all DLC (mainly because I'm totally clueless when it comes to installing things). However, I just tried downloading the UDGP and it still didn't fix anything (though there is a large chance that I did something wrong).

And I wish I had more saves... the latest one for this character is a significant while back...

Unfortunately, wiki say the only workaround is to load a previous save. Sorry. !!!!!
