I've been playing Skyrim for a long time (too much maybe) and I've run into an issue, first time I've had this. I can't seem to get any sort of bounty quest at all in Whiterun Hold. I am not sure why but I am thinking it might be because I accidentally deleted a save from this character which I think had a bounty quest active and had to use another save which did not. Does this reset or do I have to try and attempt console commands or am I just screwed in the Whiterun Hold for bounty quests? I've searched online and have not found any sort of answer for this and seems to be a rare bug.

That shouldn't bug out the game...It does sound very weird though.

Do you have an Older save you could use?

No not back far enough to get a bounty quest since it's a newer character I've started. It's only in Whiterun, the dialogue showed up in other Holds... very strange indeed.

Sorry I couldn't help out more but, Maybe you could do bounty quests in another hold?

Hey thanks for trying. Yeah I went to Ivarstead, (way of the voice quest) and the dialogue showed up. Out of all my playthroughs I've never run into this but someone claimed on another message board that he deleted one of his more recent saves and had to use an old one and the dialogue was missing from the hold he had the quest in... but he didn't mention if it was resolved. It wasn't this board so I couldn't reply.

Maybe I'll just play and see if it resets after time, if not kind of stinks but oh well. I'll check out those console commands too just to be sure... maybe I can advance to the next stage even though it's not technically active. Thanks again.

Do you have any other radiant quests active, especially for Whiterun hold? Like getting Amren's family sword, or a radiant Companions quest? Or any other quest with a quest marker to a dungeon in Whiterun? If that's the case, try to complete those quests and then ask for bounty quests again. I don't guarantee it will work, but since the radiant system sometimes can get stuck because a dungeon already is marked for a quest, it's worth a try.
