RadSec bug.

Post » Mon Jan 13, 2014 6:58 am

Hello,

Since a few days I randomly got in the right upper corner '+8 Rad/Sec.'. It is very annoying because every time you die because of the bug, the game loads the save from 5 seconds ago, so that means you're again dead within a few seconds. And whatever I try, I can't get the bug away. What can I do about this bug to fix it?

Brian

You don't have an earlier save? Always keep multiple manual saves.

Yes, I have an earlier save, but that one is from before I had done all the DLC missions.. But if I really don't have another choice, I will start a new game or start with that one save.

I had experienced something like that. I believe it came from irradiated rain in Nevada Skies or something?

Well, that can be the problem, but I tried to remove that mod but then the whole game didn't start.

Yeah, but the rad poisoning spell is vanilla, so even if you remove the mod you're stuck with the spell.

Let me try something, I'll get back to you.

Use console command "player.dispelallspells."

I'm not sure what caused it to bug out. I believe you can disable the irradiated rain in MCM, at least in certain versions, or discontinue using the mod altogether.

e2a: If you've made a patch, the patch probably has Nevada Skies as a dependency. That's prolly why your game wouldn't start. Disable both the mod and the patch, then make a new patch if you decide not to use it.

Tried that command but nothing happens, it still says +8 Rad/Sec in the right upper corner.

How about if you togglegodmode, fast travel away or coc to a different location, then use the player.dispelallspells?

I figured as much. I just downloaded the mod so I can look at it and see if I can figure out a fix.

I already disabled the irradiated rain in MCM and I tried to disable both the mod and the other mod (which is kind of a patch: Interior Lightning Overhaul) but that didn't work either.

And I will be right back, I need to eat dinner. :)

The duration of the effect is set extremely high, like 5 real time hours--LULZ0RZ. If you're not dying with tgm, you could use the wait function until it goes away.

I also, made https://www.mediafire.com/?19lq8rthabc1dgk, which you could use once and if it works just save and disable it.

If all else fails, https://www.mediafire.com/?19lq8rthabc1dgk will work, though I am not really sure if you will need to keep it activated for like 5 real time hours or however many game hours. This will affect all radiation in the game.
