Legendary Dragons- levelling tips?

Post » Mon Jan 13, 2014 2:42 pm

As a level 49 character, I'm at the point in the game where levelling up takes quite a while. Now, I want to kill a Legendary Dragon, but as I understand it, they only appear at level 78(DG installed).

So, any tips to level up fairly quickly?

I'm kinda stuck too. I'm a level 50 and it's taking forever to level up since I've almost maxed the skills I use, warrior class+archery/alchemy.

You or I coooould reset(legendarify) our skills when they get to 100, but I hate the idea that I just suddenly forgot everything I know about my main skill.

Well, crafting skills will all sky-rocket you up, especially combined with standing stones that increase experience in the field. Personally I find it easiest to gather leather by just going around the Whiterun and hunting for deer, elks, wolves, sabre cats, bears, giants (who usually always have some pelts on them) etc, then, with warrior stone, make a whole bunch of leather, leather stripes and leather bracers. Smithing is increased depending on the value of what you make though, so making jewelry is probably the best idea. Easiest way is to collect every single iron, silver and gold ore, use the Transmuting spell to turn all iron and silver stones into gold, make all of it into ingots and then into jewelry.

If you have a whole bunch of soul gems use them all up with mage stone on.

Also pick up all the ingredients you can and then with the Thief stone make a whole bunch of potions, and sell everything you crafted.

If you're not into this kind of grinding I guess the only way is to grab one of the stones and simply raise your main skills, like activating the warrior stone, putting on your heavy armor and one or two handed weapon and kill as much enemies as you can. If you have Dawnguard and you finished the Aetherium Forge quest and went for the circlet you could take both one of the guardian stones AND lover stone for 35% faster experience increase in the chosen field.

You can find Legendary Dragons at level 50.

Legendary Dragons can appear at level 50+ but are extremely rare until level 70 then they begin to appear normally. At level 78, they are common.
