The Future of Your Dragonborn

Post » Mon Jan 13, 2014 1:19 pm

Do any of you have future plans for your Dragonborn? Mine, other than my overarching big plan for Dragonia and to confront the Thalmor they are as follows:

I have plans for him to also battle a dremora attack on Skyrim, via a really neat looking Oblivion Gate scenario I've seen on Nexus.

I fully intend him to eventually find a partner, but as in real life only when I feel the time is right and natural for him to do so. It might have something to do with the dead and reincarnation, but I haven't decided yet.

I have plans for a scenario involving evil Dracolytes (i.e. evil dragon knights), who were once in league with Alduin. They are true flipsides of Dragonborn. Their main goal is to collect souls and to achieve their objectives by deceit and manipulation of their prey. Although powerful in their own right, they prefer to work by stealth.

Lastly, I have some ideas for new characters I intend to play and then turn into mods for my Dragonborn to meet. One character I have planned especially, a Nord, who will start out as Chadric's enemy but will eventually become one of his strongest allies. As with Dragonborn, my Nord will start out alone but will find his own allies along the way. However, in my Nord's case his allies will almost all be mods from Nexus, very good ones at that. I really want his group to be a sort of cynical "Dirty Dozen" version of Chadric's clean-cut Dragonians; misunderstood antiheros if you will. These too I plan to eventually become part of Chadric's Dragonians, much like the Dirty Dozen came good in the end.

I had to leave Uthred after a year because of crushing bugs which began to make the game unplayable. In a way, im glad, because he progressed through several questliens but never became "the one". Since he now has a daughter, Stiorra, on solstheim I imagine he may return to Skall village to raise her. He has mellowed over time, and hes getting on to be an old man. I imagine he will spend the rest of his days living with his family, writing his books on the history of thirsk mead hall.

If theres another great war, he will fight on the Imperial side. As a ex - legion soldier, I imagine an independent Skyrim would not welcome him back, but he laid his bed long ago, and now he will lie in it.

Who knows, maybe in a future release his children's children may play another role in the history books... ;)

Ohh, if we're talking about the ultimate fate of our Dragonborns, then I plan mine to go out much like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ILqbD6XXkA, with my Nord being a bit like the King Alfonso character.

My character, Hrafna, still has a rather low level. (About 15) So this all is gonna take a long time, hasn't even discovered that she's Dragonborn, probably gonna start that questline when she's around lvl 20.

-Anyway, I think that, because she's a Necromantic warrior with the soul of a Dragon, her dark influences (Necromancy and illusion) will eventually become so strong that she will become immortal in terms of aging.

-In the events of Dawnguard, she will gain a strong influence over the undead, especially http://cdni.wired.co.uk/1920x1280/s_v/SoulCairnFight1010.jpg Which means that she will become their Queen of some sorts.

She's not evil though. Just a very Dark Heroine. :)

I have only played one Dragonborn. She abandoned the life of an adventurer to end her days as a monk meditating in the courtyard of High Hrothgar. She is up there still, I hear.

He'll haunt Skyrim as the "Lunar Demon," stalking stray Nords at night and collecting their souls like he did with Dragons.

On nights when the moons are full, he'll burn up those souls to create beautiful music for them instead. At least for those that can still see and hear him.

Morthal's his favorite haunt during this time for that reason, since there are at least two people guaranteed to notice him.

However, when Masser's in its new phase and Secunda is in waning crescent, all races are fair game. It's also when he's most active.

I've had few dragonborns but my main Dragonborn will be made when I get a PC.
I don't know what will happen to it yet.

Yes, I know what you mean. I first got Skyrim on the 360, but I only really made any plans when I decided to get the PC version. There's little you can really do with the console version beyond what Beth gives you. It's the PC and mods that allow for our imaginations to run riot!

Retire, raise man child in Dunmeri household, and live from all that he gain during his adventures, start taking care of his responsibilities as archmage and the leader of thieves guild, and use his status as thane of skyrim, and Legate, to have a happy life.

I hope that I'm able to get a better PC soon. So that I may rise my badass Gothic warrior in all her dark majesty.

But for now, it seems that it will take a long time.

Any chance he's based on Uhtred from the Bernard Cornwall books?

My Dunmer will return where he was raised, High Rock. He will settle down in the country and study history, particularly interested in the exploits of former heroes. However, he never cured his Lycanthropy, and will murder his family in bloodlust. Devastated, he will sail to Akavir in search of the Nerevarine, after a rumor from long ago.

My Dovahkiin seeks a good death so he can return to Sovngarde in a respectable way but after defeating both Alduin and Miraak, it seems that none can stand up to his axe....it seems he'll quietly slip into legend and grow old with his Lioness.

This character doesn't grind so unfortunately he'll never meet the Ebony Warrior as he may be the only one capable of besting him in battle.

From another thread:

Now, the answer to questions like these are typically a bit of "all of the above".

My Dragonborn is a master smith. I mean, he has to be considering he's an expert fighter, one who designs, makes and repairs all his own armour and weapons. However, he'll be working much more with Sorine in the future, especially when it comes to Dwemer technology.
