HD textures option

Post » Tue Jan 14, 2014 1:27 am

I know…”This is a mmo and can’t have as good textures as the single player games…”

Ok, but what if they just do this as an option? As an add-on. Remember in Skyrim, they did an HD textures option and only if checked you played with HD textures.

Why not for this game? Computers being able to handle it can use it, and the users that can’t and are happy with the vanilla textures, can follow with the normal ones.

I think it must be added at some time.

Since textures are only client side, nothing has ever said that MMOs cant have as good textures as single player games. They just dont to maximize the number of people that are able to play the game.

Ok, so then it's more easy to just an option. It won't hurt anybody! I suppose it will be added.

I'm positive I've heard Maria say that they added hd textures to armor and weapons.

I would not mind HD texture packs for ESO. However I want them approved by ZOS before I install them to ensure the quality of them.

Of course I mean by ZOS. And it would be just an option, like the Official HD textures for Skyrim (for example).

HD Texture packs will be cool, but the only problem that I might see that some pople might have is PVP and lag. I can see that some people try to push their systems to hard and it will work just fine for PVE content. If they jump over to PVP with 200+ people on screen, they system will fall on their knees to die a painful death. Just something to consider.

Well you can always turn down your graphic options before you PvP... Like you do in many other MMORPGs.

We talking about people here -- What I have seen about people who can not understand about Beta / NDA, something that simple. How can we expect them to understand about tech problems? They are more likely complain about how "ZOS broke their game" then do the simple fix of using textures that their system can not use. Sad but true.
