Race Selection Based on Environ - not class

Post » Tue Jan 14, 2014 6:46 am

Greetings,

I was curious if other people had a similar thought process to mine regarding race selection. At first I was going with what made sense skill wise. This meant I wanted to play a Nightblade Dark Elf.

As it turns out, I'm not a fan of the first 3 starting zones that the dark elves experience (I'm not using names in case it violates NDA). Every zone felt dark and oppressive.

I've decided instead to make a Nightblade Breton. Why? Because I loved the first 3 cities. Every zone felt open, the flow was natural, and in general I enjoyed everything much more.

So, who else is playing a certain race simply due to their experience with the environments?

I felt the same way (only i made a Dunmer sorcerer to start with)

My favorite race are Dunmer, but the starting zones where horrible.

Then i made an Altmer, loved it. story was better, area's were more fun.

Then i made a Breton, loved it. Story was compelling, area's were better.

Beta remains under NDA, and as such ones beta experiences should not be discussed publicly. A survey will be sent out to everyone who tested this weekend to collect feedback.
