It would help out alot if a developer simply just come out bold and stated to us that, Skyrim will never com to new-gen consoles... Please but my mind at rest Bethesda.......

People need to really let it go. They're done. Been almost a year since the last patch, and if there hasnt been any patches or talks of patches, what makes people think that Skyrim is going to be converted to the new consoles? Get over it, Beth has. They're done. Be happy with what you have.

Why should they?

The game is two years old now, they've moved onto other projects, The worked needed for compatibility with the new consoles, the cost vs what they potentially will see returned, just doesn't make worth it this soon.

Anyone that got it, will have got it. Sure, as some have previously suggested, they 'could' port the PC version over, but they'd still have to adapt controls, optimise for the consoles, trim out PC specific features, all stuff that would take time and resouces better spent on the next game.

Why do you even ask. Skyrim will never be ported to new generation consoles; Bethesda has finished with Skyrim, they have moved to their next projects.

Skyrim. Is. Finished. Why are they going to bother, when they are busy working on a new game fresh for the next-gen?

My question: Why should they port it to next-gen? If there was a clear reason to do so, Beth would've done it or at least announced it already. Skyrim is an old game, already two years old. Next-gen needs fresh games, not old ones.

Most people already have bought the game on one or even multiple platforms. Is it really necessary to port it to next-gen? I doubt it.

The one reason I won't buy a PS4 console.
